Repairs to the Ductwork
If you notice that parts of your home are being cooled unevenly, you might have a problem with your ductwork. Check all of the vents in the rooms where there is no cool air, or not enough cool air. Make sure the vents are attached to the ductwork in the attic. If they are not, they will need to be reattached. This can be a difficult task to complete, especially if the ductwork is out of reach in the attic.
You might also have a hole in the ductwork somewhere along the line. There are many reasons why there’s a hole in the ductwork, such as a cable installer crawling over it. You need to find the location of the hole and patch it. This is a job for a trained HVAC technician. He or she will need to put a camera in the ductwork to find the hole and then use special equipment to fix the hole.
